Soy

The most consumed high protein bean. Famous for its high versatility. It is neutral in taste, highly nutritional, with a low cost-in-use. It is organic and thus processed mechanically only; free from solvents of any kind.

Size: range small to large

Taste: neutral, toasty

Colour: light brown

Texture: takes slightly longer to rehydrate,        but good structure 

Pea

The yellow pea is the most known alternative to soy. The crop grows well in the North of Europe and is suitable for dry-milling since there is hardly any fat in the pea. Dry-milling is a mild, mechanical process in order to separate the proteins from the starch particles.

Size: one size; small

Taste: slight pea taste

Colour: beige

Texture: good

Pea / Faba

Faba is the runner up amongst the plant-based proteins. The combination of these 2 proteins gives a better taste & structure to the TVP; the best of both worlds.

Size: range small to large (9 sizes)

Taste: neutral

Colour: yellow

Texture: good, long fibres

Sunflower
